1984 FLHTC Original SURVIVOR! Harley bought the company back from AMF in 1981, 3 years later the NEW Evolution V2 engine and the five-speed transmission were married into a rubber-mounted frame to create the NEW for 84 FLHTC Electraglide Classic. This the bike that launched Harley back into the black. Arguably the most significant bike since the Knucklehead. The FLHTC Electraglide Classic was offered in two colors for 1984 Vivid black and Candy red. This is obviously the later and is still in incredible glossy shape. There are some scratches and wear marks that are pictured. Some ghosting where some old pinstriping was removed that will fade in over time. This incredible bike was owned from new until December 2019 by one owner. Her original owner cared for her well he purchased it new in 1984 and kept it until his passing in December of 2019. This bike is preservation, not a restoration so while it is in incredible shape it is not perfect so please look at all the pics and ask questions. New tires (the tires that were on it when I received it had plenty of tread depth but they were date coded 1991). New clutch, Brake pads are new Rotors are original factory. I fact almost everything is as it came from the showroom floor. So what isn't as from the factory? The original ignition was upgraded at some point to a single fire Vtech system, the original CB was replaced with an upgrade to an XM/CD unit with Bluetooth, the rear shocks were upgraded to Showa 13" (stock length) units (original would have been air shocks notorious for leaking down), and a little added pinstriping to the fairing that is in great shape and was very well done. It has a believed original accessory dash with head temp gauges, oil pressure, and a clock, all functioning correctly. Original air adjustable front suspension is intact and working as intended. Bike starts and runs well and has good compression. I changed to oil and went over the bike before riding it and have put on about 650 miles mileage listed is current and may increase as I will be riding it now and then. This bike is not perfect but is a rare and significant piece of Harley Davidson history and is rarer because of its color, incredible near original state, and incredibly low mileage. Many of these bikes ended up stripped to create chopper projects in the '80s, '90s, & 2000s, loaded up with aftermarket accessory parts while the original parts were just thrown away, or where shipped oversea's so finding one in this near original condition is very hard and you never find one with this low original mileage. Please feel free to ask me any questions and I will respond as quickly as I can.
